My first encounter with Tulum was many years ago when there was nothing more than a simple dirt road between the jungle and the sea that took you to Sian Ka'an, now that same road is lined with hotels, restaurants, boutiques and all kinds of establishments. It is a place that in just a few years has gone through several metamorphoses and yet there is something almost indescribable that defines its essence, its uniqueness, which always remains the same. After five years of living there I have witnessed its constant transmutations, but also, like many, I have let myself be enveloped by its spirit, connecting with nature, forgetting the passage of time.
Because that's what happens, you are in Tulum and time seems to disappear, you feel isolated in a corner of the universe surrounded by the kind of people who have been called, like you, to pause, reflect, enjoy and enter a kind of dream. It is a place of synchronicities and awakenings. It cradles you in its soul to be a part of it, if only for a moment, transforming you forever. One way or another when you emerge from this dream, you definitely do not return home the same person. If you went looking for adventure, you find it. If you went looking for healing, you find it. If you went looking for peace, you find it. It has something for everyone. And even if you're not looking for anything more than relaxation, you'll find the unexpected, that which you didn't even know you were looking for. It's a place where desire is awakened, but what it gives you is what you need. Tulum stays with you.
