Itinerary
- Day 1. Tuesday / Guatemala City / Antigua Guatemala
Reception at La Aurora International Airport and transfer to the city of Antigua Guatemala.
Accommodation.
- Day 2. Wednesday / Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast.
The walking tour will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Antigua Guatemala. There you will visit the Plaza Mayor, the Jade Factory, and the churches of La Merced, La Catedral, and San Francisco. (Lunch not included).
Afterwards, transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon.
Accommodation.
- Day 3. Thursday / Antigua Guatemala – Chichicastenango – Panajachel
Breakfast.
Very early in the morning, you will be transferred to Chichicastenango, where you will visit the Church of Santo Tomás, built more than 400 years ago. Inside, you will appreciate the mixture of mysticism and Catholicism. You will also visit the Chichicastenango market, the largest in the region, which is held only on Thursdays and Sundays.
Then, transfer to Panajachel. (Lunch not included). Free afternoon.
Accommodation.
- Day 4. Friday / Panajachel – San Juan La Laguna – Guatemala City
Breakfast.
Transfer to the municipal pier to board the (private) boat that will take us to the town of San Juan La Laguna. Upon arrival, walk through its main streets and visit the Catholic Church. Afterwards, tour the chocolate factory, continuing on to the textile factory and ending this visit with the medicinal plant artisans.
Return to Panajachel (lunch not included).
In the afternoon, transfer to Guatemala City.
Accommodation.
- Day 5. Saturday / Guatemala City
Breakfast. Half-day tour of Guatemala City.
Later, transfer to the international airport.
