Itinerary

Day 1. Auckland

After passing through immigration and customs, reception with Spanish-speaking driver-guide, and transfer to the hotel (early check-in is not included, but recommended if you are arriving on the flight from Santiago).

Rest of the day at leisure in Auckland (the visit of Auckland can be moved to this day).

Overnight.

Day 2. Auckland

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit of Auckland for 3 hours in private service with English-speaking driver-guide, visiting Mission Bay, Parnell, The Domain, Harbour Bridge, Westhaven and Ponsonby.

Day 3. Auckland

Breakfast at the hotel.

Free day in Auckland, we suggest the following optional tours (additional cost)

OPTIONAL Waiheke Island: on this tour, you will enjoy a scenic 40-minute ferry ride across Auckland's Waitemata Harbour, then join Ananda Tours to visit three of Waiheke's best vineyards and sample a variety of their wines. Along the way, enjoy a commentated scenic tour, learning about the island's history, geography, people and culture from your expert local guide. After your wine tasting experience, sit back, relax and enjoy lunch and a glass of Waiheke wine or beer at one of Waiheke's award-winning venues, before returning to downtown Auckland by ferry.

Return to Auckland and transfer to the hotel.

Day 4. Auckland - Waitomo - Hobbiton -Rotorua

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure from Auckland to the agricultural area of Waikato. You will make a 45 minute visit to the famous Waitomo Caves, with its luminous larvae and limestone formations. You will then arrive in the town of Matamata, and enter the world of the Hobbit during a 2.5 hour visit of the Hobbiton Movie Set.

This tour is a small group shared tour, with an accompanying English-speaking guide - the guide will return to Auckland at the end of the tour.

Overnight.

Day 5. Rotorua

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning at leisure in Rotorua.

Option to visit the Waimangu and Wai-o-tapu hot springs valleys or go zip-lining through the rainforest or hike through the Redwoods forest over the hanging bridges.

This afternoon, transfer to Te Puia, where you will visit Te Po Combo.

Including a guided tour of the thermal valley (you will see geysers, boiling mud and other thermal activity), you will receive a traditional Maori welcome with the famous Haka dance, and move to the meeting hall (whare nui) to participate in the cultural show, and then the buffet dinner with typical "hangi" style food.

After dinner, you can return to the geysers to see them illuminated, while enjoying a hot chocolate.

This tour is in English - option to hire a Spanish speaking guide, additional cost, subject to availability.

Day 6. Rotorua - Queenstown

Transfer from hotel to Rotorua airport with English speaking driver/guide.

Day 7. Milford Sound Tour

Breakfast.

Full day tour to Milford Sound Fjord, located in the Fjords National Park. The bus skirts Lake Whakatipu, through a winding road, full of beautiful scenery that will take us to Te Anau, at the entrance to the national park. From there you will go down to the fjord, stopping to see the rainforest, the Mirror Lakes, and others. Arriving at Milford Sound, you will embark on a 1.5 hour cruise that will take you out into the Tasman Sea, passing under waterfalls, rainforests, and with luck you will see seals and maybe even dolphins.

Option to add lunch on board, or return Milford-Queenstown by light aircraft or helicopter.

This tour operates with commentary in English, with recorded translations in Spanish.
