Itinerary
- Day 1: Buenos Aires
Arrival, assistance, and reception by our staff at Ezeiza Airport and private transfer to your selected hotel.
- Day 2: Buenos Aires
Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, we will take a walking tour to learn a little more about the origins and history of the city with the Walking Tour - Old Neighborhoods: Beginning our tour at the Recova del Cabildo de Buenos Aires. Taking Defensa Street as our axis, we will give an introduction to the old city of Santísima Trinidad, its architectural advances, its oldest churches, markets, tango, tenements, and antique shops. It is a combination of architecture, history, and curiosities of one of the most famous capitals in Latin America. The cobbled streets, the Pasaje San Lorenzo and the Casa Mínima, the monument to Mafalda, and the Viejo Almacén are some of the main points of interest. At the end of our tour, we will visit the San Telmo Market: a very Buenos Aires-style stroll, with antiques, gastronomy, and the best of the city's culture. Free time for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon, we will explore the neighborhoods in the northern part of the city on a bike tour.
BUENOS AIRES IN THE NORTH
This tour combines history and modernity. Puerto Madero has two sides: on one hand, it is reminiscent of the city's second and penultimate port, with old docks converted into excellent restaurants facing the buildings that are set to be the most modern and tallest in Buenos Aires.
History returns in Retiro, where Plaza San Martín reminds us of the epic deeds of the great Argentine hero, while serving as a stage for buses, cars, and pedestrians traveling to and from downtown Buenos Aires. We then tour the Recoleta neighborhood, with its French buildings, impressive cemetery, exclusive shops, museums, art galleries, and tree-lined parks that lead to Palermo. In addition to the green spaces, there are also corners that bear witness to the fact that the choice of this area by wealthy families since the end of the 19th century is still alive today with the expensive residences currently inhabited by the upper class.
Accommodation.
- Day 3: Buenos Aires - Ushuaia
Breakfast at the hotel.
At the agreed time, private transfer to Jorge Newbery Airport to board a flight to the city of Ushuaia (flight not included).
Arrival, assistance, and reception by our staff at the airport and shared transfer to the selected hotel.
- Day 4: Ushuaia
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure from the hotel in the morning to enjoy Tierra del Fuego National Park with trekking and canoeing (including entrance to the National Park). A different way to visit the National Park, unique for combining mountains and forests at sea level in the same place.
A different experience where nature is the main protagonist and we are invited to discover it while always respecting the environment.
Early in the morning, we will be picked up at the hotel and head south. The National Park is located 12 km from the city, where we will spend 8 hours immersed in nature.
We invite you to walk and ride inflatable canoes through rivers, sea, mountains, and forests. With specialized guides, you will be able to get to know this unique paradise in Argentina in detail and be part of a postcard-worthy landscape.
This is an unconventional visit, as the excursion involves walking along forest trails and paddling on lakes and rivers, always accompanied by specialized trekking guides. You will navigate the river and Lapataia Bay. Between both activities, there will be a stop to rest and have lunch with the group.
Once finished, return to the hotel.
- Day 5: Ushuaia - El Calafate
Breakfast at the hotel.
Free morning. Optional visit to the End of the World Museum or hike to the Martial Glacier, where you can enjoy spectacular views of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel. Shared transfer to the airport for your flight to El Calafate (flight not included).
Arrival, assistance and reception at the airport by our staff and transfer by regular service to the selected hotel.
- Day 6: El Calafate
Breakfast at the hotel.
Mini-trekking on the Perito Moreno Glacier (with entrance to the National Park): Transfer from the hotel in El Calafate to the port located in the bay "Bajo las sombras" (under the shadows) - approximately 6 km before the Glacier Viewpoint - where you will board a boat to cross Lake Rico, arriving at the southwest coast after approximately 20 minutes to the glacier. Upon reaching the edge of the ice, the guides will fit the participants with crampons and give them instructions on how to walk on the ice. The tour of the glacier takes approximately 2 hours, during which you will be able to see a variety of ice formations such as crevasses, seracs, sinkholes, small lagoons, etc.
The hike is moderate. The ice surface you walk on is uneven but firm and safe. You will receive explanations about the flora, fauna, and general glaciology of the region, as well as the particular phenomenon that occurs on the P. Moreno Glacier and eventually causes it to break up.
At the end of the walk, you will return to the refuge through the lush Magellanic forest.
A minibus is available for transportation from El Calafate for those who require this service. In this case, at the end of the excursion—and before returning to El Calafate—passengers will be taken to the Glacier Viewpoint and its walkways for a visit lasting approximately one hour.
All services are provided daily and bilingual mountain guides are available at the glacier at all times.
