Itinerary

Day 1 | Saturday: Arrival in Istanbul
  • Arrival at Istanbul International Airport, meet-and-greet, and transfer to the hotel. Note: Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport (IST), you will meet the representative at Gate 14, outside the terminal.
  • If arriving at Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), you will find the representative outside the terminal, at column No. 14
  • Check-in at the hotel.
Day 2 | Sunday Istanbul (Breakfast, Lunch)
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Today we will take a tour of the Bosphorus and the Sultanahmet district. We will leave the hotel to visit the Egyptian Bazaar (spice market) and then take a boat tour of the Bosphorus, the strait separating Europe from Asia, where we can enjoy the great beauty of Istanbul’s forests, its palaces, and the yalı, wooden mansions built on both shores. Lunch.
  • In the afternoon, visit the Sultanahmet district, including the Roman Hippodrome Square, the Blue Mosque—unique among all Ottoman mosques for having six minarets—and the splendid 6th-century Hagia Sophia.
  • Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 | Monday Istanbul | Ankara (Breakfast, Dinner)
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Today we will leave the hotel to begin our visit to Topkapı Palace, the residence of the sultans of the Ottoman Empire, famous for its excellent collection of jewelry and porcelain. We will then continue to the Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays, religious holidays, and October 29), a building housing more than 4,000 shops inside. Time to explore it.
    At approximately 2:00 p.m., departure for Ankara, passing over the Istanbul Intercontinental Bridge.
  • Arrival in the country’s capital. Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 | Tuesday Ankara | Cappadocia (Breakfast, Dinner)
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Today we will visit the capital of Turkey, where we will explore the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which features exhibits of Paleolithic, Neolithic, Hittite, Phrygian, and Urartu artifacts, among others, and the Atatürk Mausoleum, dedicated to the founder of the Turkish Republic.
  • Later, departure for Cappadocia. On the way, we will visit the underground city of Saratli, built by Christian communities to protect themselves from Arab attacks. The underground city preserves stables, common rooms, a meeting hall, and small rooms for families.
  • Arrival at the hotel in Cappadocia.
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 | Wednesday: Cappadocia (Breakfast, Dinner)

  • At sunrise, opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride—a unique experience—over the rock formations, fairy chimneys, natural formations, and lunar landscapes. (Additional cost)
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to exploring this fantastic region, unique in the world. We will explore the Goreme Valley, with its rock-cut churches featuring 10th- and 11th-century frescoes; visit the cave village of Uçhisar, the Paşabag Valley with its fairy chimneys—the most spectacular in Cappadocia—and the Derbent Valley with its curious natural formations. There will be time to visit artisan workshops such as carpet and onyx (semi-precious stone) workshops.
    Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
  • After dinner, we will head out to attend a folk and belly dance show with an open bar featuring local alcoholic beverages. Dances in traditional costumes and folk music from all regions of Turkey, along with the finest belly dance performances, in an astonishingly spacious cave hall.
  • Accommodation
Day 6 | Thursday: Cappadocia | Pamukkale (Breakfast, Dinner)
  • Breakfast and departure for Pamukkale.
  • Along the way, we’ll make a stop to visit the Sultanhan Caravanserai, a Seljuk-era inn from the medieval era.
  • Arrival in Pamukkale and free time at the “Cotton Castle,” a site unique in the world with its calcareous thermal pools and petrified waterfalls.
  • After the visit, transfer to the hotel.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 | Friday Pamukkale | Ephesus | Izmir (Breakfast, dinner)
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Departure for Selçuk-Ephesus. Arrival and visit to the ruins of Ephesus, a city dedicated to Artemis; you will see the Odeon, the Temple of Hadrian, the House of Love, the Library of Celsus, the Agora, the Marble Street, and the Theater. Visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, believed to be the final resting place of the Mother of Jesus. Stop at a leather production center and continue to İzmir, Turkey’s third-largest city.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 | Saturday Izmir | Pergamon | Troy | Çanakkale (Breakfast, Dinner)
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Departure for Pergamon, now known as Bergama. Arrival and visit to the ruins, including the Asclepieion, which was the first hospital in Asia Minor, with its therapeutic center. Continue to Troy. Visit the famous city of legend, evoking the poetic name of Homer’s Iliad.
  • Continue to Çanakkale.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9 | Sunday Çanakkale | Bursa | Istanbul (Breakfast)
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Departure for Bursa, which was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire between 1326 and 1364. Visit to the Grand Mosque (Ulu Camii), the Kozahan Silk Bazaar, and the Green Tomb.
  • Onward to Istanbul.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10 | Monday Departure from Istanbul (Breakfast)
  • Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer from the hotel to the airport.
